Certification

Certification in Lean and Lean Six Sigma is typically offerrered by the training or consulting company delivering the Lean Six Sigma training. There are no agreed upon certification standards among the organizations offerring Lean and Lean Six Sigma training and most do not share the standards they have (if any), making meaningful assessment of what constitutes a Black Belt or Green Belt impossible. Some training companies are now providing Black Belts in Lean Six Sigma to participants based on knowledge that would barely qualify for a Green Belt.

In this situation:

Employers are looking for a certification standard to provide a level of assurance concerning program quality and content.

Employees are looking for a certification standard to recognize their work and accomplishment in successfully completing the training.

For these reasons, the QCA is offerring an independant certification for indivdiuals in Lean and Lean Six Sigma. You do not have to take a Lean or Lean Six Sigma Certification Course from the QCA to take a Certification exam.
